Billed as the world's No.1 retail trade fair, EuroShop took place at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre, from 26 February to 2 March 2023. With over 1,800 exhibitors from 55 nations, the five-day trade fair had a full line up of seminars and events. This included no less than four presentations from Cheikh Faye, Programme Manager at Eurovent Certita Certification (ECC), who took to the stage at the Talking Epta Arena from Sunday - Wednesday, giving insight on commercial refrigeration certification.

The Talking Epta Arena promoted a greater awareness of the importance of choosing sustainable alternatives and, at the same time, offered insights on the latest retail trends and technologies. The arena included speeches by experts in the sector, in addition to the Green Facts of Epta - tangible actions to reduce the negative environmental impact of the processes, products and entire supply chain.

With energy management one of the hot topics for EuroShop 2023, Cheikh’s presentation, ‘Commercial Refrigeration Certification’ covered everything you needed to know about the Eurovent Certified Performance commercial refrigeration programme. Starting off with an overview of Eurovent Certita Certification, the presentation then went on to address industry concerns around energy consumption, reliable performance and sustainable products, before tackling the aims and objectives of refrigerated display cabinet certification. Drawing the audience in further, Cheikh discussed the scope of the Eurovent Certified Performance mark and the certification process. Cheikh finished by discussing why manufacturers such as Epta choose to certify their products with ECC.

The rest of the ECC team, along with colleagues from Eurovent and Eurovent Market Intelligence could be found in the exhibition area, in the Refrigeration & Energy Management dimension (Hall 16, stand A12). The Eurovent Certita Certification booth was there for the entire show, promoting the benefits of certification and using certified products. EuroShop offered a great opportunity to talk about the industry in general, and have some thought provoking discussions around commercial refrigeration certification and energy labelling with a range of manufacturers.

EuroShop 2023 lived up to the hype as another truly great trade show.
