Eurovent Certita Certification has launched the first of a new series of explainer videos, covering a range of HAVC&R certified products. Making its debut in front of a live audience at ISH Frankfurt from 13-17th March, the new video shows a cutaway view of an Air Handling Unit (AHU) in action, as we follow the journey that air takes when travelling through the unit.
The video is aimed at promoting Hygienic AHUs by showing the difficult to clean areas of a traditional AHU. The video also highlights how airborne particles from the outside air can pass through units into indoor air, affecting Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
IAQ is a hot topic at the moment, with Hygienic AHUs taking centre stage. Hygienic AHUs provide the same functions as traditional AHUs but are suitable for applications requiring a high hygienic standard. The main differences between a standard AHU and a hygienic AHU, is that hygienic AHUs are easy to clean and disinfect, featuring access to all internal surfaces, and constructed in such a way as to reduce places where dirt can accumulate. The materials used in construction are designed to prevent fungal and bacterial growth, be resist corrosion and abrasion, and are odourless and emission free.
The good news is you don’t have to wait until ISH to see the video, you can watch it now !
