Ironically, in our bid to decarbonised buildings the number of properties affected by poor IAQ is likely to rise. Airtight buildings may save on energy by trapping in heat, but they also trap indoor pollutants. Therefore, if ventilation systems are inadequate, poor IAQ will pose a threat.
