Presented by Prof. Pawel Wargocki, Department of Environmental and Resource Engineering, Technical University of Denmark
Pawel’s preamble perfectly pitched the importance of good IEQ and the right of students and teachers to breathe healthy air. Using examples of studies across temperature, ventilation, noise impact and lighting, Pawel addressed the first of three key questions; What is the optimal learning environment?
Moving onto question 2, how to examine that learning environment is optimal? Pawel explained the TAIL rating scheme for benchmarking IEQ in schools.
His final question, how to advance research and implement the knowledge? Spoke about next steps, with Pawel emphasising that we don’t need to wait for future research, we can take action now. He concluded by giving a summary of the presentation and a call to action to be ambitious in our actions.
Pawel was interviewed for Simon Jones’s Air Quality Matters Podcast.
The IAQmatters conference presentations are now available on the Eurovent website.
