From 25th-26th April, HVAC, roofing, and plumbing professionals took part in the UMGCCP Congress, at Espace Encan in La Rochelle, France. Eurovent Certification acted as a partner in this year’s event which offered an opportunity to discuss current technical and cross-cutting topics during round tables and workshops, designed to bring together the profession's partners and member entrepreneurs. French Partnership Manager, Sophie Bocquillon, was on hand to remind delegates of the importance of using certified products, with a presentation on Friday 26th April, during the morning technical workshop.
The event was organised by the Union des Métiers du Génie Climatique, de la Couverture et de la Plomberie (UMGCCP), a trade association belonging to the Fédération Française du Bâtiment (FFB). The UMGCCP's role is to represent and defend the interests of some 15,000 HVAC, Maintenance, Roofing and Plumbing companies throughout France. The Congress sits at the centre of its events calendar, featuring a full technical programme and gala dinner.
As a partner of this event, Eurovent Certification was delighted to share its expertise in both certification for HVAC products and this year dedicated to performance assessments of ventilation systems. Sophie’s presentation, "Evaluating the energy performance and air quality of ventilation systems," emphasised the importance of providing good Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), while not sacrificing energy efficiency.
The presentation covered the challenges facing installers, particularly in the French market. Sophie explored the different certifications available to help installers make good choices, including the Eurovent Certified Performance, NF and QB marks, before discussing how products certified under the Indoor Air Quality and Energy Efficiency (IAQVS) programme provide excellent indoor environments while upholding sustainability goals.
Sophie also had the opportunity to talk on film about using certified products and promoting them to end customers. Check out the video in French on LinkedIn.
Our thanks go to UMGCCP and those who attended Sophie’s presentation. Find out more about the UMGCCP Congress at www.congresumgccp.fr
