Presented by Adam Taylor, Managing Director, ARM Environments and Chair, BESA IAQ Specialist Group
Adam started his presentation with an example of a real-life project and overview of the unique nature of school ventilation. Noting the difference between expected CO2 levels and those actually experienced in classrooms, Adam demonstrated the need for automatic ventilation systems in schools, that allowed some element of user control.
Adam’s next target was the lack of maintenance of school HVAC systems, explaining the repercussions of poor maintenance and the reasons why many schools cannot afford a suitable maintenance regime.
Adam concluded with the schools' workshop initiative, imploring the audience to take their knowledge and expertise into the classroom to educate teachers and the next generation of engineers about IAQ.
The IAQmatters conference presentations are now available on the Eurovent website.
