From 12th-15th March 2024 the crowds gathered at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre, in Milan, Italy, for Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) 2024. Running alongside was the 53rd AiCARR International Conference, ‘From NZEB to ZEB: the buildings of the next decades for a healthy and sustainable future.’ Eurovent Certification had the pleasure of participating at both events, with colleagues from Eurovent Association, Eurovent Market Intelligence and ProdBIM. Eurovent Certification was a Platinum Sponsor of the AiCARR conference and delivered a workshop entitled, “High quality HVAC-R systems, from R&D to delivery and what is in between.” The full team could also be found at MCE in Hall 11, Stand F55.
MCE acts as an international tradeshow targeted at those who design, install, and build plants and systems in the HVAC+R, renewable energy, energy efficiency and water sectors. With a focus on industrial, residential, and commercial applications, MCE is a unique marketplace where companies gather to showcase the latest technologies, solutions, and systems for smart buildings.
The 53rd AiCARR International Conference led delegates through a programme of presentations and workshops, developed to explore innovative design approaches, new monitoring and control systems, along with new components and systems. The programme offered insights into energy consumption, comfort, and the healthiness of internal environments.
On the 12th March, an expert panel was put together at the conference to deliver the workshop, “High quality HVAC-R systems, from R&D to delivery and what is in between.” The workshop delved into the critical significance of specifying certified HVAC-R products to ensure optimal performance.
Opening with an introduction to certification and its importance within the industry by Sylvain Courtey, President of Eurovent Certification, the panel discussion then ensued with Francesco Scuderi, Secretary General of Eurovent, taking the reins as moderator. He was joined by panellists Salvatore Porto, Head of Business Development at ProdBIM; Sylvain Courtey, President of Eurovent Certification; Micaela Ranieri, Air Handling Systems P.M. & P.L at Rhoss; and Mariano Covolo, Knowledge Manager & MEHITS Ambassador at Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems S.p.A.
The panel covered a range of crucial topics including:
After an insightful discussion, questions were opened to the audience. A post-workshop cocktail reception kept the discussion alive and offered time to network with fellow professionals.
Back in the MCE exhibition hall, the Eurovent certification team were available to catch up with certified and non-certified manufacturers and discuss the importance of product certification with decision makers and industry professionals. The teams from Eurovent Association, Eurovent Market Intelligence and ProdBIM enjoyed meeting delegates, members, and clients from throughout the industry, to discuss the association, data collections and reports, along with BIM and digitalisation support services.
We would like to thank the organisers of MCE and AiCARR for the quality of both events. You can find out more about the exhibition and AiCARR Conference at:
