Eurovent Certita Certification (ECC) made its début as a companion sponsor at the CLEANFACT & RESAT EXPO 2023, from 26-28th October in Vietnam. Held at the INTECH Group Business Hub Building, in Bac Ninh, Ha Noi province, the exhibition featured over 200 exhibitors and a full workshop and seminar programme. This year Vietnam also hosted the annual ASEAN5+J forum in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning, which gave ECC the opportunity to both exhibit and present at the show. Coinciding with National Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Day, ECC’s Business Partnership Manager and Audit Manager, Mohamed Ouhemmou, led a workshop on “Building trust and reducing risks to promote sustainable development of the HVACR industry”.
CLEANFACT & RESAT EXPO 2023 is an international events series for the HVACR, cleanroom and high-tech manufacturing industries. As one of the largest events of its type in the country, CLEANFACT & RESAT EXPO opens up opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to participate in networking and exchange information with both domestic and international partners, and potential customers, to help to promote the development of the industry.
For the 5000+ delegates, the event offered the opportunity to exchange ideas, learn, and network with investors, factory owners, contractors, technicians, factory managers, students, lecturers, and experts in the field. A highlight of the show was the seminar and workshop programme. The Eurovent Sharing Workshop on “Building trust and reducing risks to promote sustainable development of the HVACR industry,” offered a rare opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to get acquainted with, and have access to, European and global standards. It also gave insight into the quality standards of the future, introducing the importance that both energy efficiency and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) will have on future Regulations.
Taking place on 26th October from 1.30pm-3.00pm, Mohamed stood before a keen audience eager to know more about:
Beginning his presentation by explaining net zero and building energy consumption, Mohamed then covered the issues affecting sustainability. Moving onto the solution third-party certification offers, he covered the range of Eurovent programmes available, before focussing in on the specifics of Air Handling Unit certification, highlighting the vigorous process products go through annually to achieve certification, including a complete testing process, factory inspection and software verification. After exploring a real-life example of the impact of an underperforming AHU on energy consumption, Mohamed explained the optional add on of Hygienic AHU certification. This certification is available to AHU’s already certified by Eurovent, that are suitable for applications requiring a high hygienic standard.
Moving on to the next segment in his presentation, Mohamed discussed Energy Labelling and certification for vital AHU components including air filters and fans. Earlier this year Eurovent Certita Certification signed a Memorandum of Understanding which has seen ECC working in collaboration with the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc, to develop an added-value fan certification programme, offering a more dynamic approach to certifying products. This is an enormous step between two worldwide certification leaders, aiming to tear down the administrative and cost barriers that fan manufacturers face when certifying products.
He concluded by emphasising the importance of choosing Eurovent Certita Certification as third-party certification body by comparing Eurovent Certified Performance to other HVAC-R certification schemes. Eurovent’s vigorous and impartial testing and auditing process comprehensively proves the accuracy of product performance, adding value to manufacturers and the industry as a whole.
Lastly, Mohamed was joined on stage by certified manufacturer Robatherm. International Sales Manager, Florian Forst, gave a case study of Robatherm’s experience of certification, including the real life benefits certification brings. A lively Q&A session brought the workshop to a close.
Over in the exhibition area, delegates could find Mohamed on the Eurovent Certita Certification stand, where they could discuss all things certification more informally.
ECC would like to thank the CLEANFACT & RESAT EXPO 2023 organisers, and of course those who dropped by the stand and attended the workshop.
