Eurovent Certita Certification was thrilled to be part of Energise 2023 and the District Cooling International Conference, arranged by the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE) in Goa, India. The events kicked off from 31st October to 1st November with the District Cooling International Conference, with Energise 2023 taking over from the afternoon of the 1st, until 4th November. Eurovent Association was an outreach partner for Energise 2023, with PK Goel, Industry and Technical Advisor for Eurovent Certita Certification, acting on the Energise 2023 technical committee, and also joining the speaker line-up to present with FläktGroup India.
Running as a prequal to Energise 2023, the District Cooling International Conference aimed to promote district cooling as a technology and bring together the key stakeholders of, government organisations, policy-makers, private sector institutions, industry, civil society organisations, academics and researchers under one roof.
PK Goel joined in the panel discussion, “Thematic Session 3: Energy Transition and Resource Circularity: Recognising the Full Potential of District Energy Systems,” from 4pm on 31st October. He sat down with moderator, Mr Sudheer Perla, Managing Director, Tabreed Asia and Country Manager, Tabreed India; and fellow panellists Mr Anish De, Global Head ENRC, KPMG; Mr Ashish Rakheja, Vice President, ASHRAE and Director/Chief Operating Officer, AEON; and Mr Sanjay Singh, Enviro Enablers India Pvt Ltd, for a lively discussion and Q&A session.
With the District Cooling International Conference coming to a close at lunchtime on 1st November, it was the turn of Energise 2023 to take the helm from 2pm. Energise is an International conference that brings together energy efficiency professionals from the spheres of research, policy, and businesses. Providing participants with opportunity for serious discussions on highly relevant topics and the latest research, the conference also bestowed a host of networking opportunities, presenting the perfect forum to learn and share ideas with influencers, leaders, and fellow professionals.
This year’s Energise conference was organised around lifestyle, energy efficiency, and climate action. With a big emphasis on research, Energise 2023 aimed to be one of the most significant and relevant research-focused conferences in the region, tackling the topics of energy efficiency, net zero, and resiliency in the built environment.
Energise 2023 offered a packed technical programme of paper presentations, case studies, panel discussions, keynote speeches, presentations, Q&As and firesides chats, in between networking opportunities, social events, dinners and the grand gala dinner. On the 3rd November, PK took to the stage with FläktGroup India, to give a presentation on Life cycle costs for AHU's entitled, “Impact of energy efficient air side in HVAC systems – life cycle costs and analysis”. Covering the key subjects of energy labelling and certification, PK drove home the importance of reliable product performance and energy efficiency.
It was a pleasure to be part of Energise 2023 and the District Cooling International Conference, both of which brought the key themes of energy efficiency and sustainability to the fore.
