From 20th-22nd November, some 565 delegates gathered for the German Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Association (DKV) conference at the at the Maritim Hotel & International Congress Center Dresden. Eurovent Certification was one of the main sponsors of the 3-day event, which offered a mix of technical presentations, networking and social events, to help the industry learn, grow and build relationships.
The conference welcomed a mix of delegates, mainly from academia but also consulting engineers, trade press, manufacturers and end users. Aiming to tackle the big topics around the challenges of climate protection, refrigerants, energy efficiency, and the green transition, the conference acted as a crucial forum for addressing the most future-relevant topics in refrigeration, air conditioning, cryogenics, and heat pump technology.
The conference featured full lecture programme with an impressive list of 133 speakers, including Eurovent Certification’s own Business Development Manager, Tim Kroeger. His presentation, “Heat exchanger Technology Advancement and Market Status: A Review” on the Thursday afternoon, was warmly received with many questions afterward.
The DKV convention is THE premier technical/scientific refrigeration event/convention in Germany for DACH with plenty of networking opportunities during the breakout sessions and the main dinner on Thursday night. Eurovent Certification sponsored the coffee breaks, ensuring certified products were front and center of delegate’s minds during those impactful networking sessions.
There was even a social programme for any partners travelling with the attendees, including a visit to the Dresdner “Frauenkirche” on Wednesday night before the convention. Technical excursions for students were also available. The convention was rounded off by a visit to the “Residenzschloss Dresden” on Saturday morning.
Commenting on the conference, Tim said, “All in all, it is a ‘must see’ event on the refrigeration calendar and Eurovent Certification looks forward to participating again in 2025.”
We would like to thank DVK for organising such an excellent conference and of course all of those who attended Tim’s seminar.
