From 2nd-3rd April, PARIS EXPO at the Porte de Versailles played host to ‘Building Innovating Managing the construction & real estate World’ otherwise known as BIM World | Digital Twin 2024. This year’s event welcomed a joint Eurovent Certification and ProdBIM team as delegates, with France Partnership Manager, Sophie Bocquillon joined by ProdBIM Managing Director, Sandrine Marinhas and ProdBIM IT and Data Manager, Frédéric Le Régent. The trio helped make up a total of 11,152 visitors across the 2-day conference and exhibition.
Designed to showcase concrete solutions and services around technologies, processes and professions, BIM World | Digital Twin took its place as a world leading event for digital transformation in construction, real estate industry and urban planning. Focusing on seven key areas, the conference and exhibition offered insights from over 150 speakers into:
With certified data holding an increasingly important role when it comes to BIM, and free digitalisation tools available to certified manufacturers, BIM World offered opportunities to discuss key issues with manufacturers and fellow delegates. The event held a particular interest to the ProdBIM team, whose aim is to power digitalisation in the HVAC, building, and environmental sectors.
The team was encouraged to see the topics of interoperability, retro compatibility, data mapping, and Digital Product Passport explored in detail through the numerous conference sessions. These are areas where ProdBIM is particularly strong and can offer support to manufacturers on their digital transformation. Another hot topic of discussion was the recent BIM Plan survey, with many a prediction made of the soon to be announced results. Sandrine Marinhas said the conference, “Opened passionate discussions about past, present and future of data systems with our partners in the BIM journey: BuildingSmart, BimandCo, BimObject, and many more.”
