Paris, 9th November 2018 – After the transition period between the old test standard EN779:2012 and the new standard EN ISO 16890:2016, Eurovent Certita Certification is pleased to announce the launch of a new definition of the Energy Efficiency Class for the Air Filter programme based also on the Eurovent REC 4-21 - Energy Efficiency Evaluation of air filters for general ventilation purposes – 2018.
This new classification will be defined in the Rating Standard RS4/C/001-2019, and will cover, from the 1st of January 2019, all products in the scope of the Eurovent Certified Performance programme for Air Filters and rated at 0.944 m3/s as nominal airflow.
This new definition will replace the old classification. It is based on the ISO efficiency rating (for example ISO ePM1 80%) and the Annual Energy Consumption (kWh/y).
