Certification reference standard

Scope of the programme

The products covered by the certification standard are heat pumps (HP), with a heating capacity less than or equal to 100 kW, and with a heating and/or cooling function belonging to the following categories:

  • Electrically driven HPs for space heating
  • Electrically driven HPs for heating swimming pool water
  • Electrically driven HPs for domestic hot water (DHW); with a stored volume of water less than or equal to 2 000 liters:
    • Dual-mode HPs, i.e. designed for space heating and DHW production; with a simultaneous or alternating operating function
    • HPs exclusively used for a collective DHW production; for a stored volume of water strictly greater than 400 liters
  • Gas absorption HPs
  • Gas internal combustion engine-driven (ICE) HPs
  • Gas external combustion engine-driven (ECE) HPs

In the case of HP with separate components (split or multi-split), the assembly of such components is deemed to be an inseparable system for determining the certified performance.

The HP concerned by the certification have one of the following exchange types:

  • “outdoor air / recycled air”
  • “exhaust air / fresh air”
  • “outdoor air / water”
  • "exhaust air / water”
  • “(ground) water / recycled air”
  • “water (loop) / recycled air”
  • “brine water / water”
  • “brine water / brine water on geothermal collector”
  • “brine water / water on solar collector”
  • “(ground) water / water”
  • “ground / ground”
  • “ground / water”
  • “water / ground”
  • “outdoor air/ground”
