The whole Eurovent family was out in force for the return of ISH, the world’s leading trade fair for HVAC and water. After a Covid induced hiatus, ISH ran for the first time since 2019, from 13th to 17th March, taking over the entire exhibition grounds at Messe Frankfurt, Germany. ISH boasted an impressive 2,025 exhibitors from 54 countries, and 153,734 visitors from 154 countries, over five-days of seminars and special events. Keen not to miss out on the trade fair’s big return, Eurovent Certita Certification (ECC) held an exhibition stand in Hall 8, booth A64, with colleagues from Eurovent, Eurovent Market Intelligence and ProdBim joining the exhibition team.
ISH 2023 showcased the latest developments in heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology, intelligent home and building automation, as well as modern and sustainable bathroom design and innovative installation technology. The ECC booth was situated in one of the vast Energy halls, which covered solutions for heat transition and climate protection.
A highlight of the show was the celebration of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ECC, Eurovent, the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International Inc, the European Air Movement and Control Association (EU AMCA) and the Asia Air Movement and Control Association (ASIA AMCA), at the ECC booth on Monday 13th March.
Speeches flowed, along with some exquisite food and bubbly, to celebrate the landmark event. Eurovent President Raúl Corredera Häner praised the signing of the memorandum saying, “The agreement is a very important milestone for our fan industry and a new era for industry collaboration.” Jürgen Albig, Chairman of EU AMCA Steering Committee, further added, “We are very excited to see the next steps to finalise the agreement in working together with Eurovent.”
The MOU is a key moment for the fans industry, bringing all the organisations together in key areas of cooperation including:
The Memorandum is set to shake up fan certification, with a more joined-up and dynamic approach to certifying products, through the development of a joint certification programme.
Back at the exhibition there was another ISH first, as ECC’s new Air Handling Unit (AHU) video made its live debut in front of an audience at the Eurovent Certita Certification booth, and on screens across the trade show. The video showed a cutaway view of an AHU in action, following the journey that air takes when travelling through the unit. Aimed at promoting Hygienic AHUs by showing the difficult to clean areas of a traditional AHU, the video also highlighted how airborne particles from the outside air can pass through units into indoor air, affecting Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
Over the five days, the teams from Eurovent Certita Certification, Eurovent, Eurovent Market Intelligence and Prodbim got the chance to meet with manufactures, talk to industry professionals and network in the unique, innovative and highly charged atmosphere that only ISH can bring. It was great to be back!
