The VDKF e.V., is a registered association based in Bonn. Established in 1962, the association has more than 1,000 member companies from the industry, representing more than 20,000 employees, and a sales volume of over 3.5 billion euros per year. The purpose of the association is to promote and cultivate the economic and professional interests of its members.
As a trade association, the VDKF’s range of services extends from representing the interests of the association's members via government agencies, authorities and organisations, to the perception of economic policy concerns. The body promotes the professional exchange of ideas, as well as personal relationships between its members. It also provides a comprehensive range of membership services, from "VDKF INFORMATION" magazine to industry software, from legal advice to the dissemination of important business and industry information.
Through cooperation with important organisations and institutions in the industry, the VDKF is networked both nationally and internationally in the interest of the HVAC and refrigeration (HVAC&R) sector. With such an outlook, ECC saw the great benefit in VDKF membership, something that ECC had the pleasure of discussing with the organisation direct at the recent colloquium on Energy-efficient refrigeration systems for supermarkets & shopping centres.
ECC President, Sylvain Courtey said, “The German HVAC and refrigeration market is one of huge importance. We are increasingly mindful of the need to foster collaboration with wider industry and support certified manufacturers in the region. The role of Eurovent Certita Certification is to help those in the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump industry make reliable, energy efficient HVAC&R product choices. We hope this will be the beginning of a long and productive relationship with VDKF e.V., as we push forwards with our mission to increase trust between construction stakeholders and reduce the risk of investing in sustainable HVAC&R technology.”
